Jane is an Information Analyst at The Technology Partnership plc (TTP), where she has worked since 1997. TTP is a technical research and development based consultancy based near Cambridge, UK. Jane specialises in the searching and analysis of patent, product and technical literature for patentability, freedom to use, validity and technical information matters. Prior to joining TTP Jane worked at DataStar (now part of Thomson Scientific) in the database design and documentation team, and in information roles at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory and the British Library. Jane worked at Thames Water as an Analytical Chemist before pursuing a career as an Information Scientist. She has degrees in Chemistry, Information Science and a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Buckingham. Jane writes the Industry News column for PIUG Newsletter and has a paper (based on a talk presented at PIUG 2006) due to be published in the next edition of World Patent Information.
